Lata Berembun Waterfall is located Pahang and is 2.5 hours away from Kuala Lumpur. We will have to take a 4WD, an open top jeep, through the mountains and rough terrain at hair-raising (or sand raising) speed, with adrenaline rushing through your blood at the end of the ride. The weather will be relatively cooler than normal because the campsite is on high ground. There are a total of 7 waterfalls in Lata, but only 3 of the waterfalls are easily accessible for beginners. You can swim in the cool waters and big pool after sliding down from the natural smooth rock surface at one of the waterfall. The local guide will sometimes do fishing at the river and cook up a fresh fish dinner, which adds flavours to the already wide spread food that NTU ODAC never fails to do during an overnight camping trip!
